Separate the label from the destination
A spreadsheet may use a short source label because space is limited. That label can help you anticipate the next page, but the destination may change, redirect, expire, or describe a different option. Treat the source in two stages:
- Before opening: note the domain and page type you expect.
- After opening: confirm what actually appeared and whether it still matches the row.
This simple pause prevents a familiar platform name from becoming automatic trust.
A practical source map
A row may name Yupoo, Taobao, Weidian, or 1688 before the item title. That source label helps you predict where the link should lead, but it does not make the page safer or more accurate.
Source context answers “where,” not “is it good?”
A recognizable destination does not answer product quality, seller reliability, fit, final cost, shipping, or support questions.
The six-point destination handoff
When a spreadsheet link opens, use the same six checks every time. They take less time than recovering from a confused comparison later.
Check the visible domain before reading the page.
Match category, shape, title, and defining details.
Confirm color, size, model, or other selected option.
Look for a consistent visual set and useful detail coverage.
Compare measurements, materials, included pieces, and notes.
Recheck price reference, page status, and applicable terms.
Shortened, redirected, and converted links
A converter or redirect may rewrite a URL so another service can read it. Searches such as “Ypybuy link converter,” “Ypybuy universal link converter,” “Ypybuy original link,” and “Ypybuy raw link” all point to this formatting need. It is a handoff, not product verification.
- Keep a copy of the original or raw link when it is available.
- Compare the final domain and item identity with the original row.
- Remove extra tracking parameters when troubleshooting, but do not invent a destination.
- Do not enter account, payment, order, or personal information into an unrelated converter.
- If a redirect chain hides the final destination or produces warnings, stop and use a clearer route.
Use an explicit mismatch rule
Decide in advance which differences are large enough to remove the row. A written rule is more reliable than trying to judge every redirect in the moment.
A limited, explainable difference
A translated title, changed image order, or lighting difference may need a second check when the core item and option still match.
A material identity mismatch
A different product, color, model, size system, quantity, seller context, or unclear destination should remove the row until reliable information explains it.
Keep a compact source note
Expected: platform and page type · Opened: visible domain · Matched: item and option · Changed: any important difference · Decision: keep, investigate, or remove.
This note makes it possible to compare three candidates without reopening every destination just to remember where it came from.
Where to go next
If the destination matches but the image set is incomplete, use the QC photo guide. If several links survive, place them into the three-find comparison workflow. If the page uses urgency, vague guarantees, or requests unrelated private information, read the buyer safety notes and stop when the basics do not match.
